Fall and Spring Feasts

A girl holds up a tray of food of berries and wild rice soup that will be handed out at the Fall Feast.

Each fall and spring we are honoured to hold a feast in celebration of the changing of the seasons. It has been a long-standing tradition at Kenora Catholic that started over 12 years ago. Each Feast is also open to everyone in the community so anyone can come and attend. It is an opportunity for celebration and socializing bringing students, teachers, staff and the community together.

All of our schools participate in the Fall and Spring Feasts. Each feast features an opening prayer as well as traditional drumming and dancing. Students are invited to wear their regalia to school and will often lead the dancing. The feast culminates with food being handed out to everyone in attendance.
